One Part Gospel, One Part Cougar
Posted by Connor on November 17th, 2006
Ladies and Gents, Bloggers and Commenters, BYU fans and… the rest of you:
I’m pleased to announce a new addition to our expanding group blog: David, from Gospel Cougar.
David is a BYU grad with a BA in Political Science, a JD, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.. Nerd alert!
Married with four kids and a resident of Virginia, he earns his daily bread from a large consulting firm. “Consulting”… gotta love how vague that profession can be!
Coming from an eclectic family of varying morals and beliefs, he is a self-described conservative on most issues, and an environmentalist at heart.
We at the ever-growing Blogger of Jared have enjoyed reading David’s thoughtful posts on his own blog and consider him a welcome addition to our own. We look forward to his first post! Welcome, David!

Welcome aboard. I have been reading your blog from the start and find it very good. The biggest problem I have had with you is that you came out of nowhere and, up until now, had no idea who you were. As far as the bloggernacle, I still am not sure who you are, but your style sounds familiar. Just one question if youwant to answer; have you ever been involved with the nacle bfr starting your personal blog?
Can’t wait for your first post here.

A conservative environmentalist (that is, a true conservative): I’m intrigued. Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the welcome. I’m excited to be aboard.
Q: “have you ever been involved with the nacle bfr starting your personal blog?”
A: Nope. Until I started Gospel Cougar, I doubt I’d even read more than a handful of blog entries on the Web. I kept hearing about the blogging craze, and I love studying the gospel, so I thought a blog would be a good way to share what I learned. Impulsive, but with about 30 entries now, I’m committed to stay active.
Tyler, I agree with your sentiment. I consider myself “a true conservative.”
