Blogger of Jared introduces new dating service
Posted by Ryan on July 28th, 2006
Yes Ladies and Gentlemen we are pleased to announce that we will now be operating, as a subsidiary of Blogger of Jared, Blogger of Cupid. And what better way to fire things up than to introduce our first eligible bachelor, Mr. Connor Boyack:
BoC: So tell us about yourself Connor
CB: I’m 24 and single. I graduated from the Y in April 2006 with a BS in Information Technology.
BoC: A BYU graduate huh? That just added 10 eligibility points. What do you do for a living?
CB: I have run my own web design company - http://www.webvidpro.com - for about six years. I’m currently working at Utah Interactive, doing web design for the state’s various web sites and applications.
BoC: Fantastic. A self made man. So where do you live now?
CB: I live in Lehi.
I grew up in San Diego (Poway, to be exact) in a family of six - mom, dad, and three younger brothers. My parents have always been very active in the church and community, and so I’ve grown up with a sense of the importance of both religion and politics in one’s life. That’s why my blog - http://www.connorboyack.com - tends to focus on things both religious and political in nature. I think that both are meant to control and direct our lives, and as such, we should be actively involved and informed in each.
BoC: hey, hey settle down, we just asked where you lived, we didn’t need an analysis on the foundations of your psyche. So let’s get down to brass tacks here… are you eligible to marry a Mormon girl?
CB: I served a Mission in Honduras Comayaguela in 2002 and 2003. It was the “best two years” of my life, and I progressed immensely. I’m still working on my “second mission”.
BoC: That’s what we needed to hear.. okay well thanks for joining us Connor -
CB: My interests are: volleyball, photography…
BoC: Okay that’s enough Con-
CB: …reading, politics and the news, gospel discussions…
BoC: No, seriously dude, we don’t care –
CB: …the beach, computers/internet, hiking, camping…
BoC: Okay we’re turning off your mic now…
CB: …service, movies, and music….
It should be mentioned that we are not actually starting a dating service nor is Connor a big-mouth who won’t stop talking about himself. He’s actually our latest guest blogger and we are excited to have him as part of The Blogger of Jared

Very nice work Ryan!
Connor, I extend my heartiest welcome. You’ll make a fine addition.

And here I was, about to stop lurking and ask a guy on a date…

please do. we just aren’t sponsoring the hook-ups for liability reasons.. If you go on a date and slip and hit your head or something.. well we’re not insured for that kind of thing.

:::blushes:::
Regarding the liability, let me also state that I have excellent insurance with affordable deductibles. Believe me, I’ve covered every facet possible. As my scoutmaster father would say: “Be prepared”.

That sucks. I was hoping for someone to take the load of my shoulders at trying to find ideas to woo my wife.
Oh, and welcome, Connor.

Connor, I gotta play the do-you-know game. Poway’s not the hugest place, after all! D’ya know a guy named Rudy?

Yup, I kinda knew him in high school. If I remember correctly, wasn’t he baptized while in high school? I didn’t know him that well, he was more of a “friend of a friend”, but yes, I know who you’re talking about. Do you know what he’s up to these days?

QUITE! It can’t be by chance I don’t think? Maybe the bloggernacle isn’t so big after all. Connor happened to grow up in the ward where one of my brothers lives.
